The Wizard of Oz

Tomorrow, we will be having our school production for 2012.
My character is being a Tin girl. That means I have to dance with the Tin boys. We dance side to side and then back and forward, then they twirl us around. 
I like being on stage and performing. 
At the start I was feeling nervous, but I had to go on the stage to dance and, when I got off, I felt proud.

Go Kiwis!

During the Olympics, I watched Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan race to win a gold medal in a rowing race in the 2012 Olympic Games. 

First, the loud siren blew. The race was on. 

I was nervous  as I watched all the teams rush through the crystal clear water like a silver arrow.

We were slow at first, but started to pick up the pace. I watched the oars go round and round.

Next, it was nearly the end of the race. I watched NZ go past a couple of the other rowing crews. I had hope that our New Zealand   team would come 1st, 2nd or 3rd. 

As they got closer to the finish line, people were cheering. Italy was going as hard as they could to pass, but NZ was too fast. 

50 metres to go. NZ were going to win!

Finally, we got past all of the other canoes. We were in the lead. Nathan and Joseph looked behind them. They could see the finish line.

They passed the finish line and we got a gold medal because they came first.
